Allen leads Celtics to Series Tie

The Celtics escaped Monday night riding on the back of Ray Allen. Allen hit key shots down the stretch and hit a contested 3 point shot to win the game 118-115. It was a shooters duel between Ben Gordon 42pts, and Ray Allen 28 most of which came in the second half.

For a Basketball fan it was a great game, both sides played hard and both sides wanted to win. For a Celtics fan it was a nail biting experience knowing a loss here could be it for the 2009 season. however, the team pulled it off riding Ray Allen all the way to the victory.

Allen struggled the first game only scoring once from the floor, the first half of Mondays game looked like it was going to be another struggle for the All-Star but after halftime it was Ray Allen's game to win. "I never think I'm not in my rhythm. It can be a grind as a shooter. As a scorer your always trying to find something" said Allen after the game.

Allen certainly found it in the second half lighting up the scoreboard from beginning right down to the very end hitting an amazing 3 pointer to win the game.

The series will now head to Chicago all tied up at one thanks to the heroics of Allen, where the Celtics hope to stop the duo of Gordon and Rose, and hopefully get the job done.
