Bruins Take Commanding lead

The Boston Bruins have taken a 3-0 series lead over the Montreal Canadians, and to say they looked good would not be doing them justice. Monday night the Bruins again dominated the Canadians in every aspect of the game to take a commanding lead in the series.

The Bruins were able to weather the initial storm the Canadians threw at them in the first period, only giving up one goal in the opening period and scoring one themselves in a deflection by Phil Kessel.

After the Canadians initial push the team looked flat and uninterested for the rest of the game scoring one more goal in the second, then giving up 2 more goals to the Bruins.

Former Canadian Michael Ryder scored the eventual game winning goal in the second, and after being benched by the Canadians last year one can only imagine how good that goal must have felt.

With the Bruins now in control of the series it's time to shut the door on the Habs. The last thing the Bruins want is to give hope to the hopeless so shutting the door quickly is very important.

The Canadians are backed into a corner but still have a very skilled and veteran team so watch for them to come out strong in game four, matching their intensity could be a hard thing for the Bruins to do with their big lead. Canadians could steal one in the next game let’s hope the Bruins can drive the final nail in the coffin.
